Here at BALPA we understand that some children struggle with crowded and noisy classes. Whether diagnosed with an additional need or not, this could be the class for your child. The class will be limited to a maximum of 10 students and with a very low level of music (children are welcome to wear headphones if it helps them) and taught by a tutor with not only great dance skills, but also who has experience of working with children with a variety of additional needs. These classes will be 60 minutes long and parents can wait in our café-style reception area enjoying a cup of tea or coffee during the class so they are on hand if needed, but also giving the child space to be independent where they are able to be. 
 
These classes are being run in partnership with JIGSAW, Thornbury and there will be a JIGSAW staff member supporting every session.  JIGSAW Thornbury is a charity working with children and young people with additional needs, aged 0-25, with or without a diagnosis.  JIGSAW and BALPA have been working in partnership delivering lessons for a number of years now.
